Who we are

The address for this website is: https://www.paulsloboda.com.

Comments

All comments have been disabled for this website.

If visitors were to somehow leave comments on this site, they would be doing so against both our will and our capability, and we are not responsible for whatever those people would choose to say (ever). Data that would be automatically collected through their brazen activity would probably be shown in the comments form, as well as that visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection… whatever that would mean.

If it turns out that you are the one to have violated our website in this manner (presumably to satisfy your feelings of powerlessness in an increasingly automated world by acting out with tasteless electronic vandalism) an anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) would be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After presumably their automatic approval of your (again, unwanted and violating) comment, your profile picture would be visible to the public in the context of your comment. Whatever strange thrill you might hope to get from this task, we strongly encourage you to find it elsewhere.

Media

Just as all comments have been disabled for this website, similarly you should not be able to upload any images to this website. Not to put too fine a point on it but we really are not seeking your digital contributions to this website in any way shape or form. If you so desperately want to be an online contributor, please make your own website, or go to almost any other online destination.

If you are still somehow able to upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, apparently we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and in theory should be discarded when you close your browser. Please note, you should not try to eat this cookie.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long we retain your data

Nobody is allowed to leave a comment on this site, nor is anyone allowed to register on our site, so we do not store, retain or even ask about any of your personal information. Please look after your own personal information and refrain from leaving it anywhere near our website, now or in the future, for all perpetuity, as we really don’t want the burden of that responsibility (ever).

What rights you have over your data

You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Anyone able to violate our best efforts to avoid such a thing and still make visitor comments on this site may be a) cursed and hated by name (either a name you provide, or one provided to you by our IT monkey) and then b) also have their “visitor comments” checked through an automated spam detection service.
